The Celtic Wonder Band, founded by Maggie McKaig in 2003, performed music ranging from somewhat traditional covers of Irish and Scottish folk and dance music to original compositions by Maggie McKaig which referenced all of the above.

All tracks are traditional except: 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 are written by Maggie McKaig. Lyrics of tracks 3, 11, 12 are adapted from Ella Young's "Celtic Wonder Tales."

Track 16 , "Such a Year", an adaptation of the traditional Irish tune, "Sheebeg Sheemore," with lyrics co-written by Emily Klion, was featured in the musical theatrical production--as were "Ah-Ro-He" and "Brigit's Song"--of "Celtic Wonder Tales," a play Maggie wrote in 2002, based on Ella Young's book by the same name, and was performed that year by eighty 4th-8th graders at the San Francisco Day School's 4 week-long Center Stage summer theatre workshop in San Francisco, CA.
